The plot of land of Les Frionnes lies on a terroir made up of clayey-limestone soils at the bottom of the hillsides and faces directly to the south. The Chardonnay 1er Cru vines planted on it are about 40 years old and are treated following the principles of sustainable agriculture, with manual harvesting, followed by traditional vinification and 10 months maturing in oak barrels (15% new barrels).

The Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Frionnes 2016 by Françoise & Denis Clair has a magnificent pale yellow colour with green reflections.
On the nose, it expresses itself on refreshing notes of yellow and white fruits, citrus fruits and white flowers.
On the palate, the Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Frionnes Domaine Françoise & Denis Clair 2016 opens on a rich and round attack. The mid-palate offers a beautiful mineral backbone that supports the fruity aromas as well as subtle notes of vanilla and wood. Its fat and buttery texture is perfectly balanced with the acidity of fresh fruit and citrus notes.
The finish, long and persistent, is marked by a beautiful fruity freshness as well as an incredible minerality.
