Moët & Chandon's Grand Vintage cuvée was created in 1842. At that time, the famous Champagne House decided to create a vintage cuvée of pleasure by letting the cellar master express himself freely.

Today, some forty vintages later, the Grand Vintage cuvée is still driven by the same spirit. Each vintage is based on the personal interpretation of the cellar master, who "tells his story" around a blend made from a selection of the best wines of the year. The result is an exceptional Champagne, as unique as it is personal, renowned for its incredible maturity and complexity.

The Champagne Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Rosé 2009 is composed of a blend dominated by 59% Pinot Noir, completed by 30% Chardonnay and 11% Pinot Meunier. The final blend spent 7 years in the cellar before being released.

In the glass, Champagne Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Rosé 2009 has a magnificent salmon colour with a fine and lively effervescence.
On the nose, it distils a greedy and full-bodied bouquet tinged with juicy red berries and refreshing citrus fruits. After a few swirls in the glass, subtle vegetal and woody notes express themselves and add a touch of elegance to the blend.
On the palate, Champagne Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Rosé 2009 opens with a soft and silky attack. Light and balanced, the mid-palate sees the fruity aromas develop, accompanied by gourmet notes of gingerbread and aromatic herbs, supported by a smooth texture, to end on a finish that is as refined as it is persistent.

An exceptional vintage, the Grand Vintage 2009 rosé is still young. It should reach its ideal tasting peak around 2021 and will continue to gain in maturity for about fifteen years.
