About Champagne Moët & Chandon Dom Pérignon Rosé Brut 2005
Bottle (75cl)

Symbol of perfection signed by Moët & Chandon, the Dom Pérignon rosé cuvée is a tribute to Pinot Noir, this difficult grape variety, requiring patience, humility and exceptional know-how to express all its richness and complexity.

The year 2005 proved to be particularly capricious, alternating periods of high heat, notably a scorching August, followed by periods of coolness slowing down the development of the grapes.
Fortunately, thanks to a drastic selection of the fruits and a limited final yield, the Dom Pérignon Rosé 2005 cuvée proved to be of exceptional quality, reaching an incredible aromatic maturity.

Produced from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the Champagne Moët & Chandon Dom Perignon Rosé 2005 presents a magnificent salmon-coloured robe, halfway between youth and maturity, crossed by a string of fine, abundant and persistent bubbles.
On the nose, it opens with original notes of tropical fruits and spices coating the classic aromas of ripe yellow and white fruits as well as citrus zest. After a few swirls in the glass, floral notes and a hint of iodine minerality emerge in turn, bringing an extra touch of elegance to the blend.
On the palate, Champagne Moët & Chandon Dom Perignon Rosé 2005 offers a rich and vinous attack that grows and evolves in the mid-palate. The fruity aromatic range of the nose is supported by a solid structure and develops greedy pastry notes mixed with subtle touches of smoke before finishing on a remarkably long finish tinged with liquorice and blood orange notes.

True flagship of the House of Moët & Chandon, the Dom Pérignon cuvée is made for long cellaring. This 2005 vintage will enter its ideal tasting range in 2018 and will continue to mature until at least 2033.
