The Forts de Latour 1996 is a particularly successful vintage. It is characterized by its charming and rich appearance.

The Forts de Latour 1996 has a rich and intense garnet colour, slightly warmer on the edge.
On the nose, the Forts de Latour 1999 offers an enticing and ripe bouquet of black fruits, blackcurrants, cherries, roasted red pepper and blond tobacco with leather and cedar on the nose. It is a lively nose and still very young considering the age of the bottle.
In the mouth, the Forts de Latour 1996 combines a surprising tannic structure, balanced and classic, with powerful and fine tannins, perfectly coated, giving the wine an exceptionally rich and concentrated density with a very pure fruit.
The finish is supple, full-bodied and mordant, the fruit spreads out over the palate and stretches for long seconds.

The forts de Latour 1996 is a particularly successful wine. The 1996 vintage was described by the estate as an "Excpetional Year".
