Bernard Dugat-Py is one of the rare producers to produce mainly Pinot Noir. He owns a small plot of 0.14 hectares in Lavaux St Jacques which allows him to produce about fifty cases of Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux Saint Jacques each year.
Made from a 100% Pinot Noir blend, the Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux Saint Jacques Bernard Dugat-Py 2006 is dressed in a very beautiful dark and intense ruby robe.
On the nose, Dugat-Py's Lavaux Saint Jacques 2006 reveals a bouquet full of fresh and ripe red and black fruits coated in notes of saline minerality, stone, peat and meat. Hyper concentrated, it distills tons of blueberries and blueberries.
On the palate, Dugat-Py's 2006 Gevrey Chambertain Lavaux Saint Jacques offers an avalanche of sweet fruit balanced by significant mineral salinity and aromas of peat and smoke.
It covers the palate with finely worked tannins, combining great aromatic power with the intensity of sweet fruit until unveiling a seemingly endless finish.
