Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey (Sauternes Premier Cru Classé) is one of the most famous estates in the appellation.

Its vineyard covers an area of 40 hectares, divided into multiple small parcels with variable exposure, and is made up of a siliceous and gravelly clay soil on a limestone subsoil. It benefits from a traditional grape variety for the appellation: mainly Semillon (90%) supplemented by Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle.

The manual harvesting is carried out by successive sorting in order to harvest the botrytised grapes at their maximum concentration. This is followed by fermentation in barrels (33% new) and then maturing for between 18 and 20 months.

In the glass, Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey 2018 has a magnificent pale yellow colour with golden reflections.
It has a lively bouquet of exotic fruits, pineapple, mango and citrus delicately spiced and a subtle mineral freshness.
Rich and complex on the palate, Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey 2018 covers the tongue and cheeks with an avalanche of exotic fruits and citrus fruits, revealing themselves in successive layers to finish with an incredibly long and spicy finish.

Like all the great Sauternes wines, Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey 2018 is a wine made for long ageing. It will evolve and improve for decades!
