Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin's Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir 2018 is a 100% Chardonnay wine. It is produced from grapes harvested on a very small plot of land covering an area of about 1 hectare of poor soil on a limestone marl subsoil.

With a concern for ecology and respect for living things, the Jean-Paul & Benoit Droin estate practices sustainable viticulture by maintaining the soil through regular ploughing.

As for the other wines of the estate, the harvest is carried out by hand and followed by vinification in stainless steel vats and partly in oak barrels. Maturing can last 8 to 10 months depending on the specificities of the vintage.

In the glass, the Chablis Grand Gru Vaudésir Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin 2018 shows a beautiful light yellow colour with golden reflections.
Rich and ample on the nose, it distils a very open bouquet full of fresh and juicy white fruit scents, subtle notes of dried berries (nuts, almonds) and a toasty touch.
On the palate, the Chablis Grand Gru Vaudésir Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin 2018 offers a supple and opulent attack. Crunchy white fruit aromas coat the tongue in a velvety and airy freshness, enhanced by a subtle and finely dosed acidity line. Mineral and iodine notes emerge on the finish, as if the terroir takes over the vintage.

The Chablis Grand Gru Vaudésir Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin 2018 will be fully appreciated with a noble fish dish (monkfish in particular) or a seafood platter.
