Produced only from Chardonnay from a small hillside of 0.82 ha facing south and composed of white limestone soils on limestone marl sub-soils, the Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu benefits from the sunniest climate of the entire Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin range.

After meticulous manual harvesting followed by vinification in stainless steel vats for one part and in oak barrels for the other, the Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin 2018 was aged for 8 to 10 months before bottling.

In the glass, the Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin 2018 shows a beautiful pale yellow colour with golden reflections.
On the nose, it opens with a rich and opulent bouquet of juicy white fruits, pears and peaches, interspersed with delicate floral notes.
On the palate, the Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin 2018 offers as much richness and opulence as on the nose. In its youth, the incredible power of the fruity flavors will leave little room for minerality to fully express itself. It will take a few more years for the mineral notes to fully emerge.
