The history of Domaine Françoise & Denis Clair began in 1986, with a small vineyard of barely 5 hectares in Santenay planted exclusively with Pinot Noir. Thirty years later, the property grew to 14 hectares divided between Santenay and Saint-Aubin, diversified by dedicating part of its land to the cultivation of Chardonnay, and built a solid reputation in the wine world.

The vineyard of Domaine Françoise & Denis Clair is planted with only two grape varieties: Pinot Noir for the red wines (65%) and Chardonnay for the whites (25%). The vines are 35 years old on average and are all harvested by hand.

Produced from a 100% Chardonnay blend, the Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Domaine Françoise & Denis Clair 2017 has a magnificent clear straw-yellow colour.
On the nose, it distils notes of ripe yellow and white fruits, citrus fruits and honey as well as an elegant mineral touch.
On the palate, the Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Domaine Françoise & Denis Clair 2017 opens with a fresh and mineral attack. The mid-palate reveals a fat and buttery texture coating aromas of crunchy fruit and juicy citrus fruits to finish on a delicious and remarkably lingering finish.
