Joseph Roty founded his estate at the end of the 1960s in Gevrey-Chambertin from vines he inherited from his grandfather. In 2008, after his death, his sons took over the vineyard, becoming the 11th generation of winemakers in the family.

Steeped in history, know-how and traditions, the lands of Domaine Joseph Roty are worked with respect for the environment and biodiversity with minimal use of chemical treatments. Always with a concern for authenticity, the estate's wines are produced using a large proportion of old vines. The juices are then vinified in concrete vats before being matured in a majority of new oak barrels for 15 to 16 months.

Made from 100% Pinot Noir, the Domaine Joseph Roty's 2017 Bourgogne AOC Cuvée de Pressonnier shows a superb deep purple garnet colour.
On the nose, the Cuvée de Pressonnier 2017 releases a rich and opulent bouquet of red and black fruits, cherries and blackcurrants, wrapped in subtle and elegant notes of truffles and smoke.
On the palate, the Bourgogne AOC Domaine Joseph Roty Cuvée de Pressonnier 2017 offers a moderately full-bodied attack followed by a soft, velvety mid-palate. Rich and deep, it distils aromas of fresh, juicy and concentrated fruit balanced by a line of flawless and admirably well integrated acidity. The red and black fruits then evolve on the palate until discovering a finish that is as persistent as it is refined.

Still young, the Cuvée de Pressonnier 2017 will keep for at least fifteen years in the cellar.
