Château Rauzan Ségla is one of the jewels of the Margaux appellation. This Ce second Cru Classé of 1855 has a vineyard with a surface area of about 70 hectares, on a soil of clay-gravelly soils and fine and deep gravel.

The 2016 vintage of Château Rauzan Ségla is produced from a blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot, aged 18 months in 60% new oak barrels.

The nose of Château Rauzan Ségla 2016 distils powerful and intense aromas, revealing layer by layer blackberries, morello cherries and spices. After a few moments of aeration, it becomes more complex and reveals notes of roasted coffee, nutmeg and cocoa, subtly accompanied by a floral touch of crushed violets.

Once on the palate, Rauzan Segla 2016 is moderately full-bodied and overflowing with fruit. On the palate, it is a black fruit concentrate revealing fresh layers of blackberries and cherries followed by a warm, spicy and peppery layer. At the end of the mouth all these aromas seem to intermingle to give way to a persistent, precise and perfectly balanced finish.
