Château Le Crock has already been listed as a Cru Bourgeois for several years now.
Château le Crock 2013 comes from a parcel of about thirty hectares of clayey limestone soil, typical terroir of the Saint Estèphe appellation.
Four grape varieties make up the blend of Château Le Crock 2013, Cabernet Sauvignon (55%), Merlot (30%), Cabernet Franc (10%) and Petit Verdot (5%). All these grape varieties come from vines more than 40 years old.
The harvest is always carried out in the traditional way, by hand. The grapes are then carefully sorted, also by hand, before being vinified in stainless steel thermo-regulated vats.
The wine is then matured for 18 months in barrels.
Château Le Crock 2013 has a beautiful garnet colour.
On the nose, it gives off floral and red fruit and raspberry notes, subtly enhanced by a hint of roasted coffee.
On the palate, Le Crock 2013 exposes a full and fleshy mouth. Complex and distinguished, the 2013 vintage distils a delicate bouquet topped by a great tannic robustness.
