Château la Violette is composed of Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc (20%) from 40 years old vines planted in the Pomerol terroir.
Since the beginning and still today, all the wines of Château La Violette share the same characteristic: floral scents of violet. This particularity, inscribed in his DNA, earned him his name!

Château La Violette 2005 has a beautiful dark purple, almost black and intense colour.
On the nose, it distils, of course, very floral scents of violets, but also powerful black fruits, blackberry, blackcurrant and hints of raspberry.
On the palate, floral notes fade to give way to fruity aromas, supported by fine tannins and well worked as well as a mineral touch giving it roundness and generosity.
Château la Violette 2005 plays with finesse and precision, and succeeds with great elegance. It deserves a few years in the cellar to demonstrate its full potential!

Château La Violette 2005 will be enjoyed with roasted duck, grilled lamb chops or a game dish like deer.
