In this 2008 vintage, the La Landonne cuvée is undoubtedly the most perfect of the trio.
Made from a 100% Syrah blend, Côte Rôtie La Landonne 2008 from Domaine E.Guigal has a magnificent intense and deep ruby colour.
On the nose, the Côte Rôtie Domaine Guigal La Landonne 2008 distills an incredibly powerful bouquet of nuts, spices, meat, pepper with blue and black berries still very much alive.
In the mouth, the 2008 Landonne offers a medium body, lighter than normal, with perfectly balanced acidity and mature, nicely structured tannins. The aromas present on the nose are found in the mouth, lining the palate with tons of black and blue fruit and spices, leaving meat aromas in the background, and delivering a long and persistent finish.
