Pétrus is undoubtedly considered to be the greatest wine in the world. This legendary Pomerol makes wine lovers and wine professionals alike salivate with the simple evocation of its name!

This 2005 vintage is composed of a blend of two grape varieties, mostly Merlot (95%) and 5% Cabernet Franc.

It shows itself in a very dark colour, with purple and ruby hues.
Petrus 2005 seems rather closed at first. On the second nose, after a few seconds of aeration, it opens, releasing powerful black fruit aromas dominated by blackberry and black cherry, covered with woody (lime blossom) and spicy notes. It is a very expressive nose that gives the impression of constantly evolving.
Full-bodied on the palate, Petrus 2005 offers a great sensation of refined sweetness on the palate thanks to its ultra-fine tannins. Every sip is a caress!
As powerful as on the nose, the fruity aromas of Petrus 2005 are surrounded by notes of coffee and dark chocolate until a particularly long and persistent finish. Breathtaking!

Petrus 2005 needs a few more years in the cellar to give its full potential, it will undoubtedly be perfect from 2012 and for many more years to come!
