Considered by many to be one of the greatest wines in the world, Château Mouton Rothschild is one of the rare wines to have obtained the title of Premier Grand Cru Classé A.

The grape varieties used in its composition are all from the Pauillac terroir (84 hectares of vines). In addition to the Carbernet Sauvignon, its main grape variety (77%), Château Mouton Rothschild 2006 is composed of 12% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.

Château Mouton Rothschild 2006 presents a beautiful cherry red, intense and dark colour.
On the nose, it distils complex aromas of red fruits, blackberries and raspberries, coated with spices, pepper and vanilla. All these aromas are complemented by a fine woody hint of oak, as well as more exotic scents such as incense and candied notes.
On the palate, the Château Mouton Rothschild 2006 offers a full-bodied attack, enhanced by strong and silky tannins. It shows a full and creamy mouth, full of power that continues on a long and persistant finish.

Only the finest wines can combine power and finesse in this way. Château Mouton Rothschild 2006 does it brilliantly and seems to be one of the great classics of the property!
