Château Léoville Poyferré 2016 is the result of a blend composed mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), completed by Merlot (33%), Petit Verdot (5%) and Cabernet Franc (2%), harvested in the heart of the AOC Saint Julien and aged in 80% new oak barrels.

To the eye, Leoville Poyferré 2016 has a very dark, almost black colour with purplish highlights.
On the nose, this 2016 vintage gives off an impressive opulence, distilling aromas of violets, black fruits, plum cherries and blackcurrants giving off an intense freshness and infinite purity.
Perfectly balanced on the palate, Château Léoville Poyférré 2016 opens with a sensation of perfect harmony: the tannins are fine and silky, the acidity is perfectly balanced, and the black fruits are subtly delimited and complementary. The wine spreads out on the palate, full and dense, as if it were creamy.

Today, the 2016 vintage is well on its way to being one of the greatest successes of Château Léoville Poyferré!
