The Château de Fargues is one of the legends of Sauternes. Many will say that Fargues is not Yquem... But almost!

This 1975 vintage is perhaps the greatest vintage that Château de Fargues has produced.
Balanced, warm but fresh, fruity and greedy, Château de Fargues 1975 is a pure blend of perfection.

It presents a magnificent dark and warm golden robe, almost orange.
On the nose, it offers an incredibly complex and versatile bouquet. First of all, exotic fruits bring a great freshness to the wine, quickly balanced by warm, greedy aromas of honey and brioche.
In the mouth, it's the explosion of flavours! Château de Fargues offers a very complex aroma on the palate, distilling varied and perfectly delimited notes and flavours of citrus fruits, fresh and ripe exotic fruits, dried fruits such as coconut or roasted nuts, gourmet honey and hot spices.

The Château de Fargues 1975 is at the top of its game. Perfect in everything, it is at once fresh and warm, acidic and sweet, always young and fully mature... It is a wine of paradox, too perfect not to taste it!


The Château de Fargues 1975 is best enjoyed around an aperitif or as a side dish of noble fish.
