The Chapelle d' Ausone 2001 is a blend of 3 grape varieties: 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
This is the second wine of the mythical Château Ausone, but unlike its big brother, who still needs more time in the cellar to finish his blooming, the Ausone Chapel 2001 is easier to drink young.

La Chapelle d'Ausone 2001 is a rich and generous deep wine, very marked and perfectly recognizable.
Despite its age, it still has a very young and lively nose, distilling a bouquet of black fruits as well as floral notes in a mess, tobacco leaves, spices and gourmet notes of pastries.
On the palate, the Chapelle d'Ausone 2001 is round and juicy. The tannins are fine and powerful. It covers the palate with aromas of ripe fruits, blueberries and blackberries, wrapped in a smoky touch. The fruit stretches out in the mouth, tinged with a peppery flavour, to the long and persistent finish.

La Chapelle d'Ausone 2001 is ideal to accompany a red meat dish or a plate of various cheeses.
