The Clos de Goisses wine has its origins in the acquisition by the Philipponnat House of an exceptional vineyard in 1935 in Mareuil sur Ay. The incredible qualities of this terroir will allow the Philipponnat estate to create their greatest wine: Clos de Goisses.

Champagne Philipponnat Clos de Goisses 1990 is produced from a careful blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. It shows a superb golden and slightly brownish robe, still crossed by a very fine string of sparse bubbles.
Completely open and ripe, the Clos des Goisses 1990 strikes the nose and palate with incredible power. It distils elegant aromas of ripe fruit salad, citrus and tertiary notes of bread, yeast and roasted coffee.
Complex and obsessive, Champagne Philipponnat Clos de Goisses 1990 shows its power on the attack and then tightens in the middle of the mouth to finish by softening and spreading out on the palate in a refreshing dryness.
