The Petit Mouton de Mouton Rothschild 2013 is made from a blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Merlot and represents about a quarter of the property's harvest.

In the glass, the Petit Mouton 2013 has a beautiful intense ruby colour and reveals a fresh, well-defined nose of small red and black berries, blackcurrants, raspberries, blackberries and plums intermixed with aromatic herbs and peppery spices.
On the palate, Petit Mouton de Mouton Rothschild 2013 offers a powerful attack of lively acidity quickly counterbalanced by abundant tannins coating the fruity aromas. The red and black fruits of the nose develop in the mouth, gaining intensity until concluding on a delicious and impressively long finish.

Despite its status of Second Wine, the Petit Mouton 2013 has all the qualities of a Great Wine. Superior to most of its peers, it can be enjoyed now but will keep for about ten years without any problem.
