Champagne Jacquesson "Avize Champ Cain" Extra Brut 2009 is produced only from old Chardonnay Premier Cru vines (planted in 1962) grown on the small plot of land known as Champ Cain. It was vinified in oak casks for 9 months and was disgorged in May 2019, with a minimum dosage of 1.5g/l.

The 2009 vintage of the Avize Champ Cain cuvée is simply exceptional. The perfect ripeness of the grapes during the harvest seems to herald a vintage comparable to the great 2002 vintage!

In the glass, the Champagne Jacquesson "Avize Champ Cain" Extra Brut 2009 is adorned with a magnificent golden colour with brilliant reflections crossed by a fine and lively effervescence forming a generous layer of foam.
On the nose, it opens with exuberance, letting out tons of white fruits and juicy citrus fruits coated in warm bread baking scents.
After a moderately full-bodied attack, the 2009 Jacquesson Avize Champ Caïn Champagne develops a mid-palate that is as elegant as it is refined. The fruity and vinous aromas are perfectly delineated and enhanced by a well-balanced acidity and by an airy and caressing foam, to finish on a long and persistent finish, letting a subtle chalky touch emerge.

With this Avize Champ Caïn 2009, Jacquesson has created a new exceptional cuvée, designed for long ageing. It is already at its ideal tasting peak but will continue to mature for two decades (at least 2039).
