The Domaine de Chevalier was a small estate with some vineyards and a lot of forest.
It was in the middle of the 19th century that he grew up under the guidance of the Ricard brothers and their descendants who managed to raise the estate to the highest spheres of the appellation.

The Domaine has two special features. The first is its location, surrounded by the trees of a dense forest which isolate the vineyard with the effect of retaining heat in summer but also frost in winter.
The second characteristic of Domaine de Chevalier is that they produce both a renowned red wine and a white wine that can be even more famous.

Domaine de Chevalier Blanc comes from a small vineyard of barely 5 hectares (compared to 37 hectares for its red alter ego), planted with 70% Sauvignon and 30% Sémillon.

Domaine de Chevalier 1998 white has a very light yellow colour.
On the nose, it presents a bouquet of citrus fruits and exotic fruit with a hint of minerality.
On the palate, Domaine de Chevalier 1998 white is moderately strong, the exotic fruits are perfectly delineated. Figs, melon and grapefruit invade the taste buds until an extraordinarily long and fresh finish.
