The history of Domaine Ogier began in 1983, when Michel Ogier took advantage of the growth of the Côte-Rôtie appellation to vinify and market his first cuvée. About fifteen years later, he was joined by his son, Stéphane, after his oenology studies in Beaune.

Slowly but surely, Stéphane Ogier's talent takes the estate's wines reaching new heights. The estate grew from a surface area of just over two hectares to more than 20 hectares spread over various Rhone Valley appellations (Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, etc...).

In 2004, the construction of the estate's new ultramodern winery was completed, thanks to which Stéphane Ogier will be able to put his knowledge and his incredible winemaking talent to full use, rising in just a few years to become one of the elite winemakers of the Côte-Rôtie!

The Côte-Rôtie Stéphane Ogier Viallière 2016 is made exclusively from Syrah and has a magnificent deep purple color with ruby reflections.
On the nose, it opens with a charming bouquet of raspberries coated with notes of roses and tea.
On the palate, Côte-Rôtie Stéphane Ogier Viallière 2016 offers a powerful, full-bodied attack. The mid-palate is round and silky, with a fine, well worked tannic line. The fruity aromas develop and diffuse all their freshness, letting a delicious touch of cranberry emerge on a finish that is as lively as it is remarkably long and persistent.

The Côte-Rôtie Stéphane Ogier Viallière 2016 is ready to be enjoyed. It should remain at its peak of maturity until at least 2035.
