The Château Cos Labory is one of the smallest Crus Classés of St Estèphe. The Audoy family acquired the estate in 1922 and gave its management to Bernard Audoy in 1977.
This discreet estate has been producing for several decades now a high quality wine, solid and made for ageing.
The Château Cos Labory 1996 is composed of a blend of three grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
It has a beautiful opaque purple colour and a pure and sweet nose of black and red fruits.
From the very first nose, it distils fruity aromas of black raspberry, blackcurrant and blueberry, mixed with earth and undergrowth as well as a subtle mineral touch.
On the palate, Château Cos Labory 1996 offers excellent richness and good density in a medium-bodied body. With a few years in the bottle, the strength of the tannins has faded over time to reach a perfect level. The Château Cos Labory 1996 is a Classical Premier Cru Classé of Saint Estèphe.
