Located in Ampuis, in the Rhone Valley, Domaine Pichat has only been producing its own wines since the year 2000, under the leadership of Stéphane Pichat. With a surface area of two hectares and a production of less than 1000 bottles at its beginnings, the property has grown well, now extending over four hectares in two appellations (Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu) and producing an average of 20,000 bottles per year.

Although historically linked to Côte-Rôtie, Domaine Pichat also owns a parcel in Condrieu, in the locality of "La Caille". This parcel, located on a narrow terrace, benefits from a singular terroir composed of granite and arzelle. It is only planted with Viognier.
Like the rest of the property, the parcel of La Caille is worked according to the principles of sustainable viticulture, without any insecticides or pesticides, using only AB (Organic Agriculture) registered phytosanitary products.

The Condrieu Domaine Pichat La Caille 2018 shows a beautiful pale yellow color with sparkling reflections and distils an elegant and fruity nose, loaded with apricot and lemon aromas enhanced by a gourmet touch of honey.
Rich and ample, the Condrieu Domaine Pichat La Caille 2018 offers a round and soft attack. The aromas of yellow fruits and juicy citrus fruits unfold on the palate, letting emerge sweet notes of honey and white flowers on a remarkably long and greedy finish.
