Château Pontet Canet 2013 is a Fifth Growth from Pauillac (the property faces that of Mouton Rothschild) made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvinon (65%), Merlot (30%), Cabernet Franc (4%) and Petit Verdot (1%).

Château Pontet Canet 2013 has a beautiful intense ruby red colour and reveals a light and airy bouquet of red and black fruits coated with herbaceous notes and marked by hints of roasting.
On the palate, Château Pontet Canet 2013 is medium-bodied with a powerful tannic structure and well judged acidity. Its silky texture lines the cheeks and tongue, exposing fruity aromas of great purity, with plums and blackcurrant cream intermixed with notes of coffee and leather.

Still young and closed, Château Pontet Canet 2013 deserves to mature a few more years in bottle, in order to open and show all its taste qualities!
