Second Cru Classé of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, Cos d' Estournel 1966 is composed of a blend of the four typical AOC grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon, as well as a small quantity of Petit Verdot.

Château Cos d' Estournel 1966 has a dark ruby color, slightly browned on the edges.
Despite a difficult vintage, often described as austere, the 1966 Cos d' Estournel is a tour de force and offers a wine with concentrated red and black fruit aromas and an impressive quantity of tannins on the finish.
