2006 was a particularly complicated vintage in Bordeaux, so how did Château Cheval Blanc perform? Let's cut short the suspense, the 2006 Cheval Blanc is once again EXCEPTIONAL!

The Château's method to save this 2006 vintage was drastic but beneficial: first of all a massive thinning of the vines in order to clean up the future harvest, followed by a very rigorous selection of grapes used in the blending of the wine (55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Franc). Château Cheval Blanc 2006 is dressed in a beautiful purple and dark purple colour with purple highlights.
The nose is powerful, with very ripe black fruit and freshly cut violets. After a few moments of aeration, more refined notes of leather and blond tobacco are released.
On the palate, Château Cheval Blanc 2006 offers a full and rich attack, with a beautiful structure supported by fine tannins. The fruit aromas still dominate the cocktail of flavours on the nose until a brilliant and harmonious finish, which seems almost endless!

We recognize a great domain with their know-how during difficult years, and this time again Cheval Blanc proves that its reputation is not usurped. Great art!
