Second Cru Classé
The Château Brane Cantenac is a great wine from the Margaux appellation which obtained the title of Second Growth in the 1855 classification. It is the product of a blend of four grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Carménère.
Château Brane Cantenac 1970 shows itself in a deep dark ruby colour.
It reveals a particularly rich and intense bouquet of undergrowth, forest black fruits, blackcurrants, blackberries, truffles and notes of damp leaves.
On the palate, Château Brane Cantenac is moderately full-bodied with fresh and velvety tannins, well integrated. It offers refined and elegant aromas of black forest fruits, cocoa and leather coated in woody flavours that cover the palate to reveal a subtle and concentrated finish.
