About Château Bouscaut 1996
Bottle (75cl)

Vineyard cultivation has been present for three centuries in Bouscaut.
Recently (in 1979), the estate was taken over by the Lurton family. This name, widely recognized in the wine world, is synonymous of excellence: we think in particular of Yquem or Cheval Blanc.

The arrival of the Lurton family at Chateau Bouscaut resulted in a complete renovation of the estate, from cellars to plantations and the purchase of neighbouring parcels.
Today, the Château Bouscaut vineyard covers 47 hectares (40 hectares for red wines, and only 7 hectares for white wines) cultivated in five grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec for red wines and Sauvignon and Sémillon for white wines.
The wines produced today at Château Bouscaut are made with the idea of making elegant and rich wines, made for long ageing.

Château Bouscaut 1996 is dressed in a very dark brick red dress, slightly brown on the edge.
After a few hours of aeration, Château Bouscaut 1996 opens with a fruity bouquet of black berries covered in cedar and cigar tobacco notes.
On the palate, the tannins are ripe and concentrated. Rather full-bodied and perfectly balanced, Château Bouscaut 1996 offers aromas of blackcurrant and black cherry. The woody scents are transported on the palate, accompanied by delicate vanilla notes.
The elegant and rich finish stretches in the mouth for long seconds.

Do not forget to air the Château Bouscaut 1996 in order to let it open and give the best of itself.
